ABOUT NU TEMPO
NU TEMPO was formed in 1998 by Everaldo Pereira dos Santos as an experimental dance company. The name is a play on words in Portuguese: Nú Tempo, meaning naked time; and No Tempo, meaning on time. The company have performed in the UK, Europe and Brazil and in July 1998 were awarded ‘Best Choreographic Work of the Year’ by O Capital, Aracaju. Everaldo’s work includes Facts & Photos, Box of Sun, For Women, Lembranças and Scene and Seen. This year, he took the company’s most recent work, First Time, to Brazil where, in collaboration with a capoeira master, Nu Tempo performed at the Teatro Baptiste, Aracaju.
